LodeStone CMS enables multiple users with different access levels to both the front end and the administration panel. In other words your site can function both as your face to the world and as an internal site for staff.
At present, default access levels (roles) include:
- Administrator
- Blogger/News Publisher
- Content Editor
- Designer
- Front-End Only (Visitor)
Alongside these, access levels can be set at a per-page level with the creation of privileges and groups, allowing granular control of access to information. For example, to create a user with access to a private 'resources' section, you would just add a privilege and a user in a group with that privilege, then go to the pages you want to make exclusively available and select the privilege required from the drop-down box on that page.
Inside knowledge: If you set the CMS home page to require an access level, you can build a website behind 'closed doors', giving those who required access a username and password while blocking it from public eyes.
